Ingredients
Chicken
  • 1whole chicken, cut up
  • 2stalks celery, diced
  • 1can peas
  • 3medium carrots, chopped
  • 1large sweet onion, diced
  • 1can cream of chicken soup
  • 1tsp salt
  • 2Tbsp parsley
  • 1tsp pepper
  • 214 oz cans chicken broth
Dumplings
  • 1-1/2cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2tsp baking soda
  • 1tsp poultry seasoning or chicken bullion powder
  • 1/4tsp salt
  • 3/4cup buttermilk
  • 1large egg
Instructions
Chicken
  1. Boil chicken and veggies in water until done.
  2. Remove chicken from pot and remove bones.
  3. Add back to the stock and add cream of chicken soup and broth (you may need to add more water)
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste
Dumplings
  1. Mix flour, seasoning, baking soda, egg, salt and buttermilk until it forms dough.
  2. Drop spoonfuls into the broth.
  3. Continue to cook until dumplings are done.
